Double - Layer Laminated Insulated Glass

Double layer laminated insulated glass is a high-performance composite glass designed specifically for complex noise environments. Its structure adopts a multiple sound insulation barrier of “laminated + hollow + laminated”. The damping effect of the sound-insulating PVB absorbs medium and low frequency noises (such as traffic and mechanical vibrations), and the hollow layer blocks high-frequency sound waves (such as human voices and horn sounds), achieving efficient blocking of full-frequency band noises.

Product Structure

Laminated glass (8mm + 0.76mm PVB + 8mm) + 16mm Argon – filled layer + laminated glass (6mm + 0.76mm PVB + 6mm)

Key Features

Excellent Sound Insulation Performance

  • Mid – and low – frequency noise reduction: The PVB interlayer can absorb vibration energy, reducing low – frequency noises (such as car engines and outdoor air – conditioning units) by 8 – 10 decibels.
  • High-frequency Blocking: The argon-filled hollow layer reduces sound wave resonance, blocking high-frequency noises (such as square dancing and human voices) by about 5 – 7 decibels.
  • Comprehensive noise reduction: The actual measured overall sound insulation capacity can reach 46 – 49 decibels, significantly better than that of ordinary hollow glass (about 25 – 30 decibels).

Multiple security guarantees

  • Explosion-proof and shatterproof: The PVB interlayer bonds glass fragments, maintaining integrity even when broken, reducing the risk of falling from heights and meeting safety glass standards.
  • Wind Pressure Resistance: The double laminated layer enhances structural stability, suitable for typhoon-prone areas and high-rise buildings.
  • Energy Conservation and comfortThermal insulation: The argon gas in the hollow layer has a low thermal conductivity, reducing heat transfer. The heat insulation rate increases by 30% in summer, and the heat preservation effect is better in winter.
  • UV Blocking: The PVB film absorbs 99% of ultraviolet rays, protecting indoor furniture from fading.

Applications

  • Street-facing residences: Environments adjacent to low-frequency noise sources such as roads, overpasses, airports, etc.
  • Commercial spaces: Places requiring high standards of silence, such as offices, meeting rooms, recording studios, etc.
  • Special scenarios: Sunrooms (explosion-proof + soundproofing), hospitals, schools, and other safety-sensitive areas
